Co Raising Program

$0.00

Our Service Dog Co-Raising Program is built for clients who want to be actively involved while still benefiting from professional oversight and long-term planning.

We offer two co-raising programs to meet different needs.

Option 1 - begins with selecting a puppy from one of our partnered, reputable breeders, specifically chosen for service dog work. The dog then rotates between the trainer and the handler every 2–5 months. This allows the handler to have relief from the intensive training while also allowing their dog to progress with advanced service dog skills.

Option 2 - is designed for clients who would like to start with an older dog. We conduct a thorough assessment to determine service potential, and if suitable, the dog enters the co-raising program during their second year of training, focusing on task development, public access skills, and basic obedience skills.

All co-raising options include free team trainings, lessons, public access testing (PAT), service dog assessments, training resources and updates, and select gear and equipment. This program is intentionally structured to remove confusion, reduce stress, and provide disabled handlers with the tools, education, and ongoing support they need to be successful.

This is a long-term partnership designed to build capable service dogs, confident handlers, and a sustainable lifestyle of independence.
